High Point Family and Marriage Counseling is seeking a dedicated and passionate Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) to join our team in Decatur, Illinois. This full-time position is primarily remote, enabling you to deliver effective psychotherapy services from the comfort of your own space while ensuring our clients receive culturally sensitive and impactful support. Key Responsibilities
  • Provide comprehensive assessment, diagnosis, and therapeutic interventions tailored to the needs of individuals, couples, and families.
  • Conduct regular intake assessments to gather relevant history and identify mental health challenges and treatment goals.
  • Utilize evidence-based practices and therapeutic modalities, such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Trauma-Focused CBT (TF-CBT), and Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), to facilitate effective treatment.
  • Manage and maintain accurate client records, including treatment plans and progress notes using electronic health record (EHR) systems and ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations.
  • Engage in regular supervision and reflective practices to enhance therapeutic efficacy and personal growth.
  • Participate in professional development sessions to stay informed about the latest therapeutic techniques and best practices.
  • Flexibly adapt to the needs of the clients, offering both telehealth and in-person therapy sessions while ensuring that all interactions are conducted in a HIPAA-compliant environment.
Patient Population / Client Focus

Qualifications

  • An active, unrestricted LMFT license.

  • A minimum of two years' experience in a mental health setting, specifically working with diverse age groups within a behavioral health context.
  • Demonstrated ability to respect cultural and individual family customs, ensuring an empathetic and inclusive approach to therapy.
Preferred Experience
  • Specialization in areas such as trauma, grief, LGBTQ+ issues, or perinatal mental health.
  • Familiarity with EHR software to document client interactions and treatment plans efficiently.
  • Previous experience working as an in-network provider on insurance panels.
Compensation and Benefits

The salary for this role ranges from USD 70,000 to 105,000 per year, commensurate with experience, plus a signing bonus.
