Job Summary: A Parking Lot Painter is responsible for preparing, applying, and maintaining paint and markings on parking lots, roadways, and other related outdoor surfaces. This role involves working with various types of paint, ensuring the proper application of line striping, directional arrows, parking spaces, and other necessary markings to meet safety and regulatory standards. The position requires physical stamina, attention to detail, and the ability to work in various weather conditions.
Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare parking lot surfaces by cleaning, sweeping, and ensuring the area is free of debris, dirt, and oil stains.
  • Measure and mark areas for parking spaces, directional arrows, curbs, and other necessary road markings.
  • Apply traffic and parking lot paint using specialized equipment such as striping machines, sprayers, or rollers.
  • Ensure paint is applied uniformly and neatly, following guidelines and regulations for spacing, line thickness, and placement.
  • Use appropriate safety gear, including high-visibility vests, gloves, and eye protection.
  • Maintain and clean painting equipment after use to ensure its longevity and proper functioning.
