Job description

Description
TL;DR Kharon is seeking a full-time Senior Software Engineer based in Denver. This role requires in-office attendance at least 3 days a week.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Marketing & Content Infrastructure: Spearhead the development of our high-traffic marketing sites, ensuring these platforms are not just visually stunning but technically optimized for rapid content publishing.
  • SEO & Web Performance: Implement advanced SEO strategies (SSR/SSG, JSON-LD schema, automated sitemaps, llms.txt) to maintain our dominance in global risk search rankings. Own Core Web Vitals to ensure lightning-fast load times.
  • Login Walls & Gated Content: Maintain the sophisticated walls between our free and premium content, integrating with our Auth provider and subscription management tools to create frictionless transitions from guest to subscriber.
  • Marketing Technology Stack: Manage integrations with our growth stack, including HubSpot for lead capture, Google Tag Manager for event tracking, and other technologies.
  • Visual Excellence: Work closely with our Design and Brand teams to build and maintain a scalable design system that ensures brand consistency across marketing pages, login portals, and product interfaces.
  • Full Stack Capability: While frontend-heavy, jump into our Python/Java backend services to work with APIs that feed content to the marketing site or handle user authentication logic.

QUALIFICATIONS:
  • 6+ years in software engineering with a proven track record of building high-performance marketing sites or content-heavy SaaS platforms.
  • Deep expertise in React and Next.js, with a clear understanding of the nuances of Static Site Generation (SSG) vs. Server-Side Rendering (SSR) for SEO.
  • Technical SEO mastery from the ground up — crawl budgets, canonicalization, and structuring data for rich snippets.
  • Experience implementing OAuth/OIDC flows and managing user sessions behind login walls (Auth0, FusionAuth, or similar).
  • Proficiency with Headless CMS platforms (e.g., Contentful, Sanity) and marketing automation integrations (HubSpot, Segment).
  • A pixel-perfect design sensibility — comfortable in Figma and capable of translating complex data visualizations into clean, responsive web components.
  • Strong communicator who can collaborate across teams, explaining technical trade-offs to marketing stakeholders while holding your own in architectural reviews with core platform engineers.
Nice to Haves:
  • Familiarity with A/B testing frameworks (Optimizely, VWO).
  • A background in Fintech, RegTech, or data-driven SaaS.
  • Experience with GraphQL for fetching content from multiple sources.
  • Some experience with LLM-based coding tools like Cursor, Claude, etc.
You'll be working across a modern, well-defined stack: React, Next.js, and TypeScript on the frontend with Tailwind for styling; Python and Java on the backend via REST and GraphQL APIs; Auth0 for authentication; AWS, Docker, and Kubernetes for infrastructure; and HubSpot, Google Analytics 4, and GTM on the marketing side.
