Work you'll do
The Healthcare Marketing Strategy Manager is a client-facing consulting leader responsible for leading the day-to-day delivery of marketing strategy engagements for Healthcare clients. This role combines marketing strategy expertise, consulting execution, and Healthcare commercial acumen to help clients address the full breadth of the Chief Marketing Officer's agenda. The Manager works across strategy and delivery to turn customer insight, data, and business needs into actionable marketing strategies and measurable outcomes.
As a Manager, you will be responsible for:
- Leading the day-to-day delivery of marketing strategy engagements for Healthcare and clients, spanning the breadth of the CMO agenda including operating model transformation, growth and margin improvement opportunities, resource allocation and investment decision-making, audience segmentation, marketing and campaign strategy, and AI-enablement strategy
- Partnering with client marketing, commercial, and digital leaders to define marketing strategies tied to clear business outcomes
- Translating business and customer challenges into structured analyses, insights, and high-quality, executive-ready deliverables grounded in research and data
- Bringing comfort with the more technical aspects of marketing, including MarTech stacks, platforms, tools, and the implications of AI, to help shape and support broader marketing transformation engagements
- Managing day-to-day client relationships, facilitating working sessions, and overseeing scope, timelines, risks, and dependencies across workstreams
- Using advanced analytics and AI-enabled tools to improve efficiency, insight generation, and work quality
- Supporting practice growth through proposals, solution shaping, workplans, and follow-on opportunities
- Coaching teams, modeling Deloitte leadership behaviors, and contributing to an inclusive, high-performing culture
A successful candidate would possess these skills:
- Ability to work independently and collaborate as part of a team
- Effective written and verbal communication skills
- Meticulous attention to detail and quality of work product
- Ability to build and sustain professional relationships
- Ability to lead projects or workstreams
- Ability to manage and prioritize multiple tasks in a fast-paced and dynamic environment
- Strong interpersonal skills and professional demeanor
- Ability to meet deadlines
- Ability to mentor and provide clear guidance to others
The team
An evolving customer and regulatory landscape, cost and operational pressures, and intensifying competition are presenting new organizational and operational hurdles for Healthcare organizations. These complex market dynamics are requiring new levels of rigor and insight in marketing strategy, operating model design, and the application of new technology capabilities by marketing leaders.
We are looking for practitioners who will work alongside Healthcare organization leadership teams to drive business value through the design and delivery of marketing strategies that connect customer insight to business impact.
Qualifications
Required:
- 7+ years of experience with a demonstrated history of consulting delivery in marketing strategy, brand and commercial strategy, or related areas of the CMO agenda
- 4+ years of experience working directly with marketing client teams
- 4+ years of experience in the US Healthcare and Life Sciences ecosystem, including customer and stakeholder dynamics, commercial operating environments, and engagement models
- 1+ years of experience incorporating AI into daily workflow and leveraging AI tools to enable and optimize the client experience
- Ability to travel up to 30%+ on average, based on the work you do and the clients you serve
- Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without the need for employer sponsorship, now or at any time in the future
Preferred:
- 2+ years of experience leading workstreams or projects, including managing scope, timelines, and deliverables
- Comfort with and exposure to the technical aspects of marketing, including MarTech platforms, tools, and the implications of AI (no requirement to design or build technology)
Ability to operate effectively in ambiguity and manage complex, multi-stakeholder engagements
- Experience presenting recommendations and deliverables to executive stakeholders
- Ability to collaborate effectively with technical teams and translate business needs into analytical or technology-enabled solutions
- Experience supporting proposals, solution shaping, or workplan development
- History of bringing a 'Team First' mentality and willingness to work collaboratively in a close-knit community focused on growing our market footprint
- Experience growing and developing teams, especially practitioners with 0-2 years of experience
The wage range for this role takes into account the wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions including but not limited to skill sets; experience and training; licensure and certifications; and other business and organizational needs. The disclosed range estimate has not been adjusted for the applicable geographic differential associated with the location at which the position may be filled. At Deloitte, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range for their role and compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. A reasonable estimate of the current range is $163,400 - $322,100
You may also be eligible to participate in a discretionary annual incentive program, subject to the rules governing the program, whereby an award, if any, depends on various factors, including, without limitation, individual and organizational performance.
