Job description

Job Purpose: To direct, manage and provide strategic leadership and direction to all Marketing operations. Responsible for the successful overall operation of direct mail, promotions, data base management and evaluate and purchase of media outlets.

Essential Functions:

  • Develop and execute short- and long-range marketing plans to enhance the opportunity for profit growth while adhering to budget guidelines.
  • Plan, oversee and analyze the casino's advertising and achieve satisfactory profit/loss ratio in all promotions, sales, and entertainment and special events.
  • Research, analyze and monitor financial, technological, and demographic factors throughout the gambling industry.
  • Establish and monitor annual market strategy for the casino.
  • Ensure compliance with all procedural/regulatory requirements to include, but not limited to purchasing of goods and services, inventory control, issuance of complementary, point adjustments, and auditing of employee/customer activities.
  • Serve as casino spokesperson in media and public arenas when deemed appropriate.
  • Negotiate difficult customer concerns swiftly while demonstrating an ability to uphold the policy and procedures of the department and meeting the needs of the customer. Coordinates the proper resolution of customer dispute

resolutions, issues, and concerns with related departments and follows through to ensure that a fair and equitable resolution was achieved.

  • Conduct audit and review of complimentary issuance, point adjustment, data entry protocol, and all edits or adjustments to player accounts. Conducts initial investigation and immediately takes action to resolve discrepancies.
  • Review marketing techniques regarding the profitability and effectiveness of rated/non-rated casino players as related to casino marketing program effectiveness, including the profitability and effectiveness of direct mail programs, bounce back offers, bonus programs, promotions, special events, holidays, gaming tournaments and player appreciation parties.
  • Prepare various cost and operational reports.
  • Supervise the planning and scheduling of management work assignments and performance development.
  • Prepare reports as required.
  • Perform other duties and projects as required by management.

Physical Requirements:

  • Walking, sitting or standing for long periods oftime; occasional bending, squatting, kneeling, stooping; good finger dexterity and feeling; frequent repetitive motions; talking, hearing and visual acuity.
  • Occasional lifting (up to 50 lbs)
  • Be able to reach, bend, and stoop.
  • Ability to organize and coordinate multi tasks.

Working Conditions

  • Busy office environment.
  • Typical of that in a busy casino with heavy cigarette smoke accompanied with a variety of competing noises and communications
  • Flexible hours (weekends, nights, holidays)

Minimum Qualifications for Consideration

  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business Administration or related area from a four-year college or university, or seven plus years related experience and/or training, or an equivalent combination of education and progressive experience.
  • Ability to work any shifts, weekends, and holidays.
  • Documents that establish both Identity and Employment Eligibility.
