The Global & NationalSecurity Policy Institute (GNSPI) brings together global and nationalsecurity-related courses, research, and programs at the University of NewMexico in a coherent whole under one umbrella to serve the entireinstitution-students and faculty-across its several campuses. The GNSPImission is to improve security policy byeducating thoughtful, ethical practitioners to navigate an uncertain securityfuture and shaping the debate around pressing security issues in four focusareas: Critical & Emerging Technology Policy, National Security Strategy& Policy, Intelligence Studies, and Transnational Security Policy.
Our partnerships with NewMexico's premier national laboratories provide the intellectual basis forunderstanding the threats to national security, particularly in technology andglobal "commons" (e.g., space, climate, food & water, and energy resources),and their role in international relations. Our graduates are educated in theconsequences of the global diffusion of technology and communications. Ourobjective is to improve the nation's capacity to make ethical policy judgementsabout what should be done, and about what should not be done. GNSPI is seeking to hire an Administrative & MarketingAssistant student position. The selected candidate must be work study eligibleand enrolled in courses for the Summer/Fall 2026 semester. The successful candidatewill assist with daily administrative tasks and program marketing projects.They should be knowledgeable withcommon office software, such as Microsoft Word and Excel.
