Starting Salary Range:  $64,717.00 - $84,581.00 and determined based on relevant years of work experience provided on application and resume.

Position Summary: The Creative Marketing Asset Specialist is responsible for the governance, organization, and lifecycle management of marketing and communication assets. Manages the storage, organization, and access to branded collateral - including images, videos, logos, icons, and content files. Ensure assets are easily discoverable, accurately tagged, consistently maintained, and efficiently used. Collaborates with department peers to streamline workflows, support automation, optimize workflows, and manage alignment across integrated platforms and systems. Performs design and production tasks such as daily quality checks, asset formatting, version control, resizing, and template creation, to support efficient workflows. Supports brand consistency, asset accountability, copyright compliance, and effective use of digital asset management technologies. This position reports to Director, Strategic Marketing Operations.

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in marketing, communications, graphic design, digital media, information management, or related field plus 4 years of professional experience in management of digital assets, marketing operations, creative services or related functions.
  • Or an associate degree plus 6 years of professional experience.
  • Experience administering enterprise DAM platforms, project management, workflow automation, and using Adobe Creative and Microsoft Suite applications.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience in higher education.
  • Proficiency in Adobe Creative Cloud.
  • Working knowledge of accessibility standards and WCAG principles.

Position details include but are not limited to:

  • Asset Management and Operations:
    • Manage the end-to-end lifecycle of marketing communication assets and brand resources, including intake, creation, metadata assignment, version control, distribution, archiving, and retirement.
    • Develop, document, and maintain standards and best practices for creating, formatting, organizing, and tagging digital assets.
    • Administer and maintain the digital asset management (DAM) platform, including metadata schemas, taxonomy, file naming conventions, user permissions, access controls, workflows, and folder structures.
    • Develop training resources for users.
    • Perform design and production tasks including asset resizing, reformatting, version updates, and template management to support brand consistency.
  • Workflow Collaboration:
    • Partner with team members and campus stakeholders to support project workflows and operational best practices by ensuring assets are execution-ready and compliant with brand, accessibility, and technical standards.
    • Optimize asset discoverability and reuse through effective metadata management, search optimization, standardized organization, and duplication reduction.
    • Create and maintain approved channel-specific asset variations, templates, and shared resources, to support self-service access, improve efficiency, and encourage platform adoption.
    • Discover and perform platform enhancements, integrations, and automations opportunities.
  • Reporting and Continuous Improvement:
    • Develop and maintain documentation for asset management standards, platform administration procedures, workflows processes, and brand usage guidelines.
    • Monitor asset usage, platform adoptions, search performance, and lifecycle trends; analyze data and stakeholder feedback to identify opportunities for improvement.
    • Conduct regular audits to identify and address outdated, redundant, underutilized, or noncompliant assets within the digital asset library.
    • Provide solutions to improve speed and consistency.
