Summary

This position provides the operations and project-management backbone for APTA's marketing program. You will own process, coordination, campaign production quality assurance, and attribution discipline so that execution runs reliably and on schedule. This role works across association priorities including membership, education and certification, events, and business development, and supports achievement of organizational, department, and program goals. You will be an effective champion of the Association vision, mission, and brand.

Essential Functions

  • Build, segment, and QA marketing audiences and exclusion lists in Advance Find/Protech and Informz, ensuring accurate targeting on every send.
  • Coordinate and QA email campaign production in Informz, managing send calendars, testing, and deployment.
  • Own campaign attribution and UTM discipline, ensuring consistent tracking and reliable performance data across channels.
  • Coordinate the marketing and Events interface for the Combined Sections Meeting (CSM), including timelines, dependencies, and audience and list needs with the Events team.
  • Support question-based engagement campaigns in PropFuel, including build, deployment, and reporting.
  • Build and maintain Asana project structures, intake triage, and reporting for the marketing function.
  • Produce performance metrics and reporting to support transparency and data-driven decision-making.
  • Coordinate and implement marketing services, benefits, and communications across association priorities.
  • Collaborate with department leadership on innovation and continuous quality improvement to grow programs, gain efficiency, improve service, or scale impact.
  • Adhere to legal, ethical, and organizational standards and compliance in all marketing operations.

Staff Expectations

  • Upholds and fosters APTA Staff Values.
  • Complies with all APTA policies and procedures.
  • Performs other duties as assigned to foster achievement of association priorities.
  • Bachelor's degree with a concentration in marketing, communications, data analytics, or a related field preferred.
  • Three to five years of experience in marketing operations, campaign and project management, or association marketing.
  • Experience with email marketing or marketing automation platforms (Hubspot, Informz or comparable); required.
  • Experience with CRM or AMS list-building and query tools (Protech, Salesforce, or similar); required.
  • Working comfort with Google Analytics and UTM-based attribution.
  • Project management experience required. Project management certification (PMP, CAPM) or PMP-track interest is a plus.
  • Experience with project management tools such as Asana or Monday.
  • Experience with engagement or survey platforms such as PropFuel is a plus.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office 365 (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Teams, SharePoint).
  • Familiarity with Meta Business Suite and Canva.
  • Planning and organization skills, with the ability to manage multiple concurrent projects.
  • Experience communicating effectively, verbally and in writing, and collaborating across teams.
  • Experience in a nonprofit, association, or mission-driven organization preferred.

Travel Requirements

Up to 20% - local, national. This role may require work obligations outside of standard business hours, including evenings, weekends, and travel.

Salary

The base salary range for this role is $65,000 - $72,000 per year.  Your placement within this range will depend on your experience, specialized skills and training.
