Job description

Reporting to Head of Japan Business, Global and North America, and partnering closely with commercial leadership across the U.S., Japan, and Japan Global Solutions (JGS) globally, this role supports the execution of growth strategy, sales enablement, governance, and operational excellence across JGS. This role drives the consistent adoption of global standards, platforms, and ECG guidelines while adapting execution to regional and local market needs. You will lead the planning, delivery, and measurement of key growth initiatives, empowering client-facing colleagues to bring the full breadth of the firm’s capabilities to clients in a consistent, scalable, and impactful way.

This is role is based in the US and can be hybrid or virtual.

What the day will look like

This role focuses on improving global opportunity conversion and client experience. It supports balanced revenue growth and serves as a strategic liaison among Sales, Marketing, and Solution Lines supporting Japanese multinational corporations.

  • Partnership JGS Leadership team on planning and growth initiatives.
  • Partner with stakeholders across regions to coordinate priorities, align activities, and drive progress toward growth objectives.
  • Leverage business data, market intelligence, and insights from Aon Centre for Innovation and Analytics (ACIA) to support decision-making and execution.
  • Monitor progress, identify execution risks, and recommend actions to maintain momentum and achieve desired outcomes.
  • Lead implementation of strategic investment, growth, and client development initiatives; talent development, recruiting, onboarding, and employee engagement initiatives across JGS.
  • Partner with leadership and recruiting teams to strengthen bilingual talent pipelines and career development programs.
  • Lead initiatives that enhance colleague performance, retention, and organizational effectiveness.
  • Help leaders create an inclusive, collaborative, and high-performing culture.
  • Contribute to workforce planning activities and people-related initiatives that support long-term business growth.
  • Lead execution of growth enablement initiatives, strategic pursuits, and operational improvement programs.
  • Encourage adoption of best practices in account planning, opportunity management, governance, and collaboration.
  • Develop practical tools, reporting, and operating rhythms that improve consistency and effectiveness across JGS.
  • Coordinate stakeholders around key initiatives and ensure follow-through on actions and commitments.
  • Promote knowledge sharing, AI adoption, and standard process exchange across JGS.
  • Become a champion of scalable tools, templates, and enablement resources that improve colleague effectiveness.
  • Help elevate understanding of Aon's capabilities across Human Capital, Commercial Risk, and other solution lines.
  • Build strong working relationships across JGS, Aon Japan, regional leadership teams, and solution lines.
  • Support leadership reviews, strategic discussions, and business planning processes.
  • Influence outcomes through collaboration, credibility, and disciplined execution across a highly matrixed organization.
How this opportunity is different

In this role, you will translate JGS’ global growth strategy into scalable enablement frameworks, helping to build and improve a global growth enablement platform. You will champion operational excellence by strengthening pipeline governance, operating cadence, and sales execution team.

Skills and experience that will lead to success
  • Native or Near-Native level proficiency in both Japanese and English.
  • Experience in strategy planning, organizational effectiveness, talent development, growth enablement, project management, consulting, or related functions; supporting critical initiatives within complex or global organizations.
  • Experience coordinating cross-functional projects and driving execution across multiple parties.
  • Experience working with Japanese business units, multinational organizations, or cross-cultural teams preferred.
  • Experience in insurance brokerage, risk management, consulting, professional services, or related industries preferred.
  • Strong project management, execution and influencing skills.
  • Ability to translate strategic priorities into practical plans and measurable outcomes.
  • Familiarity with business analytics, CRM (Client Relationship Management) platforms, AI-enabled tools, and data-driven decision-making preferred.

Education: Bachelor's degree or equivalent professional experience.

Pay Transparency Laws:

The salary range for this position (intended for U.S. applicants) is $130,000 - $140,000 annually. The actual salary will vary based on applicant’s education, experience, skills, and abilities, as well as internal equity and alignment with market data. The salary may also be adjusted based on applicant’s geographic location.

This position is eligible to participate in one of Aon’s annual incentive plans to receive an annual discretionary bonus in addition to base salary. The amount of any bonus varies and is subject to the terms and conditions of the applicable incentive plan.
