As the Director of Business Development, You Will:

  • Plan, develop, and implement the facility’s marketing and public relations programs to increase resident census.
  • Provide the community with detailed information about our facility, services, and programs.
  • Promote the facility and its services to physicians, discharge planners, local business leaders, churches, schools, and other community members.
  • Maintain thorough knowledge of the facility’s admission requirements, services, programs, and policies.
  • Work with the facility team to conduct tours for prospective residents and their families.
  • Conduct pre-admission interviews with potential residents/guarantors and explain all services offered.
  • Organize and deliver direct sales calls and public presentations to effectively communicate the facility’s offerings.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with key community partners to promote our services and strengthen our reputation.
  • Evaluate and direct marketing strategies to ensure the facility's long-term growth.
Must Have:
  • Thorough knowledge of principles of effective communication, mass media, advertising, and community relations as they pertain to nursing facility operations.
  • Ability to make direct sales calls and deliver public presentations effectively.
  • Ability to establish, implement, and maintain a strong marketing and public relations program.
  • Strong understanding of healthcare reimbursement programs.
  • Knowledge of nursing practices, procedures, terminology, and regulations that relate to long-term care.
Nice to Have:
  • 2-4 years of experience in marketing/public relations in healthcare or a skilled nursing facility, including supervisory experience.
  • Bachelor’s degree in marketing, communications, or related field from an accredited college.
  • Experience in nursing or clinical work is a plus.
