We are looking for a reliable and detail-oriented Data Entry Assistant to join our growing team at Orvix Engineering. The Data Entry Assistant will be responsible for accurately entering, updating, and managing data in our internal systems, databases, and tools. This role requires strong organizational skills, an eye for detail, and the ability to handle large volumes of data efficiently. As part of our operations team, you will play a key role in supporting the company's day-to-day business activities by ensuring that all data is accurate, up-to-date, and easily accessible.

Key Responsibilities:

• Accurately enter and update data into the company’s internal systems, databases, and spreadsheets, ensuring the information is complete and error-free.
• Cross-check data for accuracy and completeness, identifying discrepancies or inconsistencies, and making necessary corrections.
• Organize, categorize, and maintain electronic and paper records, ensuring they are easy to retrieve and comply with company policies and regulations.
• Assist with the generation of routine and ad-hoc reports by compiling data from various sources and presenting it in an organized and understandable format.
• Regularly update and clean data to ensure the integrity of information, removing outdated or inaccurate records when necessary.
• Support the integration of data from different systems and sources, ensuring smooth transitions and data consistency across platforms.
• Work with the Data Manager to monitor and maintain the integrity of various databases, ensuring they are functioning effectively.
• Work closely with other departments (such as engineering, finance, and project management) to ensure that the data you are entering is aligned with the business needs.
• Organize and maintain digital files in an orderly manner for easy retrieval and compliance with internal policies.
• Ensure the confidentiality and security of sensitive company data, adhering to company policies and legal regulations.
• Perform routine checks and audits to ensure that the data entered is consistent, accurate, and up-to-date.
• Provide general administrative support to various departments, such as preparing documents, reports, and other forms of communication as needed.

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent required; associate degree or higher in a related field preferred.
• Proven experience in data entry, administrative support, or similar roles, preferably in an engineering or technical environment.
• Strong attention to detail with the ability to spot errors or inconsistencies in large volumes of data.
• Excellent organizational and time-management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) and data entry software; experience with CRM systems or project management tools is a plus.
• Familiarity with data management and database software (such as Microsoft Access, Google Sheets, or similar tools).
• Ability to maintain a high level of confidentiality and work with sensitive data.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Knowledge of engineering terminology and data processes is a plus, but not required.

Job Types: Full-time

Pay: $18.00 - $27.00 per hour
