Job description

WSU Tech is looking for a Manager, Digital Marketing & Communications to lead our organic and paid social media, email marketing, and event support efforts. In this role, you'll shape how WSU Tech shows up online - strengthening our brand, engaging our community, and helping drive enrollment and institutional growth.

  • Compensation: $51,480.00

What You'll Do
  • Own and manage WSU Tech's organic social media presence across all institutional channels, from content planning and scheduling to publishing, engagement, and ongoing optimization.
  • Build and maintain a strategic social media content calendar aligned with enrollment initiatives, academic programs, events, partnerships, and student stories.
  • Lead paid social media advertising - campaign planning, audience targeting, creative coordination, budget management, and performance reporting.
  • Manage email marketing campaigns end-to-end: audience segmentation, content coordination, scheduling, deployment, and analysis.
  • Maintain email marketing calendars in partnership with internal teams to keep communications timely, accurate, and on-brand.
  • Provide marketing and communications support for college events, including promotional materials, timelines, and logistics.
  • Collaborate across departments to support enrollment, academic programs, and college-wide initiatives.
  • Coordinate with designers, photographers, videographers, and vendors to produce high-quality content.
  • Analyze performance data across social, paid advertising, and email to inform strategy and identify new opportunities.
  • Stay ahead of digital marketing trends and platform best practices to keep WSU Tech competitive.

Requirements
Required:
  • Associate degree in business, marketing, communications, digital marketing, or a related field (Bachelor's preferred).
  • 2+ years of experience in social media, digital marketing, communications, or a related field.
  • Demonstrated experience managing organic social media channels and creating content for social platforms.

Preferred:
  • Experience with paid social media advertising, email marketing, and/or event support.

Skills & Abilities:
  • Excellent time management with the ability to multi-task and prioritize competing deadlines.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Strong analytical thinking, sound judgment, and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication.
  • Strong attention to detail and a professional, calm demeanor with the public and colleagues.
