Evans & Dixon is seeking a highly organized, creative, and detail-oriented part-time Marketing & Business Development Assistant to join our team in our St. Louis office. This role offers an excellent opportunity to gain hands-on experience in legal marketing and business development while supporting attorneys, clients, and firm leadership. The position is part-time with the intention of transitioning to full-time within the next 12 months.

In this role, you will assist with event planning, client engagement initiatives, coordinating travel, marketing materials, presentations, social media and website management, database maintenance, promotional item coordination, invoice processing, and business development projects.

What you'll do:

As the Marketing & Business Development Assistant, you will gain valuable hands-on experience while working alongside and learning from a team of seasoned professionals. In this role, you will provide essential administrative and operational support to the Marketing & Business Development Department, contributing to a variety of initiatives and projects, including:

  • Scheduling meetings, coordinating travel and hotel accommodations, coordinating client interactions, processing department purchases, and managing vendor relationships
  • Assisting with the planning, approval and execution of continuing legal education (CLE) programs, client lunch-and-learns, and other educational events
  • Creating PowerPoint presentations, marketing collateral, and other promotional materials
  • Drafting and publishing content for the firm's website, intranet, email communications, and social media platforms
  • Supporting the coordination, planning and execution of client events, seminars, networking functions, holiday parties, business development initiatives and other firm-sponsored events
  • Maintaining, updating and organizing data within the firm's customer relationship management (CRM) system (HubSpot), ensuring accurate contact information, mailing lists, and marketing data
  • Refining and perfecting client reports and proposals
  • Fulfilling simple requests for information issued by our attorneys and/or clients
  • Periodic local event attendance may be required

  • Bachelors in Marketing, Business Administration, or a related field preferred; currently pursuing a degree in these fields will also be considered
  • Minimum of one year of experience in a professional office, business environment and/or customer service field preferred
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint), Canva and social media management
