The Marketing Director handles the firm's overall marketing, advertising and brand awareness initiatives and programs. Operating independently, the candidate must be self-starter but team aware as they will also work closely with the partners and associates to achieve immediate and long-term business goals. The ideal candidate will have prior experience with a wide range of marketing functions, including communications, advertising, branding, digital marketing, and social media.

Requirements:

Objectives of this Role:

  • Manage the development and implementation of the company’s brand strategy.
  • Ensure all marketing efforts serve to achieve immediate and long-term business goals, identifying and executing improvements for processes, content, and lead generation.
  • Prepare marketing activity reports and metrics for measuring program success.
  • Maintenance of the firm’s WordPress website, social media and online presence.
  • Support the lawyers in all marketing, awards, and event efforts.
  • Further knowledge and education regularly through workshops, research, and seminars, and share best practice, and local marketing ideas and tactics with the team.

Daily and Monthly Responsibilities:

  • Maintain an inventory of promotional materials, ensuring all resources are current and accurate, and creation of new materials as needed.
  • Keep the website updated with bio changes, news & awards, new services, and client education.
  • Manage firm’s content strategy.
  • Plan and manage meetings, events, conferences, and trade shows by identifying, assembling, and coordinating requirements, establishing contacts, developing schedules and assignments, and coordinating mailing lists.
  • Keep lawyers aware of upcoming community events with monthly updates and handle their registration and confirmations.
  • Conduct marketing meetings/ luncheon for all lawyers and staff.
  • Chair the firm’s fun committee. Manage logistics of annual programs and events such as staff holiday party, wellness program, 2nd Friday fun events.
  • Continually seek and research new sources of prospective customer data, and provide recommendations to leadership.
  • Enrich client relationships, create client touch points and other account management duties.
  • Provide artwork for print and online advertisements.
  • Assist attorneys with PowerPoint decks, proposals and seminars.
  • Any other administrative duties assigned but not specified here.

Skills and Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in marketing, advertising, or communications.
  • Past work experience as a marketing coordinator or similar role.
  • Knowledge of traditional and digital marketing, content marketing, and social media marketing.
  • Excellent writing, communication, and presentation skills.
  • Proficiency in full Microsoft Office suite, especially with Excel, PowerPoint, Publisher.
  • Proficiency or general knowledge of Adobe Creative Cloud, WordPress, MailChimp, Hootsuite, Shutterstock and other common marketing programs.
  • Fast learner, comfortable with utilizing and adopting new technology.

Hours:

  • This is a part-time position requiring approximately 25 hours per week. Work hours are flexible.

Salary Range:

  • $25.00 to $30.00 an hour depending on qualifications.
