This role offers the chance to sit at the center of Macquarie's global futures business, helping shape client exposure management and the firm's risk framework while working closely with senior leaders in New York, Chicago, and London. You'll join a highly respected team with more than 30 years of experience operating across all major global markets, providing nonstop, 24-hour futures coverage. What role will you play?

In this role, you'll take a lead position in assessing market risk-taking behavior through detailed portfolio and transaction analysis, thoughtful risk-limit calibration, and proactive stress testing around major market events. Acting as a trusted risk partner, you'll analyze emerging market developments, challenge risk activities where needed, and ensure that critical issues reach senior management quickly and clearly. The role also involves driving enhancements to risk measures, overseeing adherence to established limits, and supporting new product approvals while working closely with traders and business leaders. Based onsite in New York four days a week, the position keeps you closely connected to senior management and trading teams, enabling real-time collaboration and impact.
Salary range for this position: $181,000 - $225,000/Year. Actual base salary may vary based upon, but not limited to, relevant experience, time in role, peer and market data, prior performance, business sector, and geographic location.   • Bachelor's degree, equivalent or above in Finance, Economics or a related quantitative/analytical discipline preferred
  • Understanding of financial products (including derivatives/greeks) is required. Fluency in SQL and Python would be a plus.
  • Ability to collaborate with people from different departments and levels of seniority
  • Experience in energy markets (particularly natural gas & power)
  • 5+ years' experience in the industry/a relevant role
