Job Summary:
Lockton values its relationships with its US insurance markets and wholesale intermediaries (referred to as markets) and has a dedicated team focused on strengthening engagement and improving transactional insights and efficiencies. We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Market Operations Analyst to join our team. This role is pivotal in supporting all P&C market management activities, ensuring that our operations are efficient, data-driven, and strategically aligned. Written and oral communication are essential components of this role.
Key Responsibilities
• Contract Lifecycle Management: Oversee the entire contract lifecycle, ensuring timely completion and adherence to company standards.
• Compensation Analysis: Evaluate compensation agreements and present well-founded recommendations for improvement versus market standards.
• Performance Tracking: Work with Market Engagement leaders and markets to monitor key goals and objectives.
• Market Feedback: Solicit and analyze feedback from Series and product line leaders to identify areas for improvement.
• Data Mining: Extract and analyze MAP and loss data to generate competitive insights. Work with data and analytics practices to understand new developments and evaluate opportunity to leverage for our markets benefit.
• Market Analysis: Track and report changes in operations, personnel, and financials for assigned markets.
• Supplemental Compensation Tracking: Analyze changes in supplemental compensation, focusing on budget adherence.
• Ad Hoc Analytics: Complete ad hoc analytics requests to support market management activities, including preparing clear, concise summaries for executive meetings and annual surveys.
• Data Governance: Participate in data governance activities related to market data, ensuring data integrity and accuracy.
• P&C Data Models: Develop competency in understanding P&C data models to enhance analytical capabilities.
• Operational Efficiency: Contribute to improving operational efficiency in market management and market security functions.
• Market Meetings: Participate in market meetings, take notes, respond to inquiries, and promptly address data requests.
• Compensation Tracking: Track actual vs expected compensation against budget on a quarterly basis.
Requirements:
• Experience: Minimum 1-2 years of experience in data analytics or financial analysis.
• Technical Skills: Strong proficiency in Excel, including the preparation of tables and graphs.
• Analytical Skills: Excellent critical thinking skills with the ability to analyze complex data sets.
• Interpersonal Skills: Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to thrive in a dynamic market environment.
• Communication Skills: Exceptional communication skills with an "executive" presence.

• Industry Knowledge: P&C industry experience is a plus.
