The Market Manager - Foodservice is a key member of the Copeland Global Cold Chain team with a focus on creating and driving the Cold Chain market strategy for the Americas Foodservice and adjacent markets. The Market Manager acts as the internal expert on market trends, dynamics, and customer needs. This role is pivotal in defining where to play by translating market insights into actionable strategies, investment priorities, and long-term growth opportunities aligned with business objectives. The Market Manager is responsible for market segmentation, analyzing market size and growth rates, and developing strategies to drive solution development comprised of Copeland compression, controls, and enterprise software offerings. They also lead market research, maintain the Copeland market model, and assess competitive, industry, and regulatory trends to inform cross-functional teams.

As the Market Manager/Senior Market Manager, you will:

  • Develop and deliver the Copeland Business Strategy Plan, including market sizing, key trends analysis, and competitor insights

  • Create market roadmaps to guide product and solution development across compression, controls, and enterprise software services

  • Identify M&A opportunities and develop strategic roadmaps

  • Conduct value assessments to support value propositions

  • Gather and analyze Voice of Customer insights to understand market challenges, customer needs, and regulatory impacts

  • Monitor competitive strategies and end-user requirements to influence specifications and market strategies

  • Define market segmentation, targeting, and prioritization to guide resource allocation and strategic focus

  • Translate market insights into clear growth initiatives and align cross-functionally (Product, Portfolio Marketing, Commercial teams) to drive execution

  • Embed Market intelligence into planning cadences (e.g., AOP, strategy reviews) to ensure decisions are data-driven and aligned

Through our 30 years of scroll compressor expertise, our air conditioning related products help bring comfort and convenience in commercial, industrial and residential spaces. The cold chain business helps ensure that food safely and efficiently travels from farm to fork. Approximately 1600 employees work in Sidney, who all support a multitude of business functions. With the blend of businesses and functions represented under this one roof, there are many opportunities for advancement within the Sidney location.

Collaboration First Hybrid Work Arrangements:

This role is hybrid eligible with the requirement to be in office at least three days per week. Colleagues are expected to demonstrate a collaboration first mindset, which is the understanding that teams will work together in-person and colleagues should be flexible to adjust their hybrid days based on business needs.
