Job description

Marine Service Technician
Your job will be to troubleshoot, diagnose, and resolve mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic issues for marine telecommunication systems.
Responsibilities
- Conduct routine inspections and diagnostics on marine telecommunication equipment including but not limited to Radars, Satcoms, HF & VHF Radios, etc.
- Follow manufacturer's guidelines and service manuals to execute repairs and conduct scheduled maintenance tasks.
- Provide technical support to customers, addressing their concerns and resolving any issues related to marine equipment.
- Keep accurate records of all work performed, including service reports, parts used, and time spent on each job.
Marine Service Technician
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent; Technical certification or vocational training in marine mechanics is preferred.
- 3+ years of MET, ET, or AT experience (focused in commercial shipping) (No longer interested in marine service technician titles; implies a mechanical experience that we don't really need. all electronics tech.
- Current FCC General License with Radar & GMDSS Radio Operator Maintainer License OR willingness to train and obtain upon hire
- Physically fit and able to traverse ladders, masts, and manipulate 20- 40 lb items with ease.
