WHAT YOU WILL DO:

As a Maintenance Multi-Craft Technician II, you will be responsible for completing preventative maintenance tasks to ensure proper functioning of electrical, mechanical, hydraulic and pneumatic systems. The technician is expected to work safely within the guidelines of a comprehensive safety program.

Your key responsibilities will incluide:

  • Troubleshoot, install, align, dismantle, repair, and maintain industrial machinery and equipment to improve reliability and uptime, including pumps, hydraulic and pneumatic systems, utility support systems (compressors, dryers, cooling towers), gearboxes, bearings, PLCs, and drives.
  • Adjust PLC programming and troubleshoot using Allen Bradley Studio 5000.
  • Diagnose and repair 24V/120V control circuits, 480V 3‑phase systems, 4–20mA/0–10V circuits, VFDs, and DC drives up to 1600 HP; general understanding of plant SCADA systems.
  • Monitor and troubleshoot systems using DMM, amp/mA meters, meggers, and oscilloscopes.
  • Read, interpret, and work from electrical prints and mechanical/electrical drawings.
  • Perform equipment modernizations, upgrades, and modifications according to specifications.
  • Identify and resolve intermittent mechanical and electrical failures on production equipment.
  • Demonstrate strong mechanical aptitude and understanding of how mechanical and electrical systems operate.
  • Support Engineering and Maintenance teams on innovation initiatives, including Lean Six Sigma, 5S, 3P, 8D, Kaizen, and SMED activities.
  • Work any shift as needed, including evenings, nights, weekends, holidays, and overtime.
  • Collaborate independently with contractors and vendors to complete projects and repairs.

WHO YOU ARE:

You are someone who takes accountability for their actions, is respectful of others, and remains resilient in the face of change. In addition, you also have:

  • 5 years of Industrial Electrical Maintenance experience.
  • High School Diploma is required and higher education in a technical field is a plus
  • Experience with electrical and mechanical installation and maintenance work on plant electrical systems and equipment
  • Experience with hydraulics and pneumatics
  • Broad knowledge of controls and mechanisms
  • Proficient in PLC programming and troubleshooting
  • Must have excellent problem solving
  • Self-directed with the ability to work alone and in a team environment

Physical Requirements & Work Environment:

  • Ability to lift/push/carry/pull up to 70 pounds on a continual basis.
  • Ability to stand/walk for up to 8 hours per shift on a concrete floor and is frequently required to do the following:
  • Must frequently squat/bend/kneel/reach/ etc. in order to carry out the essential functions of the position
  • Must have full use of hands, arms and legs to reach in, around, over and under the equipment to facilitate diagnosis and/or repair of equipment
  • At times, there may include significant pushing, pulling, bending, lifting, walking, stooping, crouching, crawling, repetitive motion, ladder and stair use
  • Ability to use sight, sound, smell, and feel to diagnose variations in equipment performance
  • The working environment, at times, may be noisy, hot, humid, hazy or cold


Work Schedule: 2nd shift 3:00 PM to 11 pm
