Job description

Accurate Marine Environmental is seeking to recruit competent, committed, self-motivated, and safety-conscious personnel to join our growing team. We have full-time positions available with excellent benefits for experienced CDL drivers who are looking for a challenging and rewarding career supporting shipyard, industrial, environmental, and emergency response operations.

Position Overview:

As a CDL Driver, you will be responsible for the safe operation of tanker trucks, vacuum trucks, roll-off trucks, flatbeds, and other commercial vehicles used to transport hazardous and non-hazardous liquids, waste streams, and materials. This position supports environmental services, wastewater treatment operations, industrial cleaning projects, and emergency response activities. Drivers are home most nights; however, occasional overnight travel may be required based on operational needs.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Safely operate CDL Class A commercial vehicles, including tanker trucks, vacuum trucks, roll-off trucks, flatbeds, and stake body trucks.
  • Transport hazardous and non-hazardous liquids and materials between jobsites, treatment facilities, disposal facilities, and customer locations.
  • Load and unload liquids and materials from tanks, vessels, industrial systems, and other work sites.
  • Complete pre-trip and post-trip inspections of vehicles, trailers, and equipment.
  • Maintain driver logs, inspection reports, manifests, and other required documentation.
  • Ensure compliance with DOT, OSHA, environmental, and company safety regulations.
  • Assist field personnel with hose setup, pumping operations, liquid transfers, and other production support activities.
  • Support wastewater treatment plant operations and disposal activities as needed.
  • Maintain spill response equipment and ensure all required safety equipment is present and operational.
  • Report vehicle, equipment, and safety concerns promptly to supervision.
  • Participate in safety meetings, training programs, and emergency response activities.
  • Respond to after-hours callouts and emergency situations as required.
Qualifications:
  • Valid CDL Class A License required.
  • Hazmat (H) Endorsement required.
  • Tanker (N) Endorsement required.
  • Minimum of three (3) years of experience operating tanker trucks and/or vacuum trucks.
  • Ability to operate manual transmission vehicles.
  • U.S. Citizenship is required.
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain TWIC (Transportation Worker Identification Credential).
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain DBIDS (Defense Biometric Identification System) access credentials.
  • Ability to pass DOT physical examination, DOT Clearinghouse review, driving record check, and pre-employment drug screening.
  • Experience in shipyard, maritime, industrial, environmental, or emergency response operations is preferred.
  • Reliable transportation to shop location or assigned job sites is required.
  • Willingness to work overtime, weekends, holidays, emergency response callouts, and occasional overnight assignments as needed.
