Our Stuart, FL location is the premier full-service yacht repair facility in Southern Florida. We are dedicated to hiring the most well-qualified people to join our team and are currently seeking a full-time Marine Mechanic.
Job Summary:
Grand Banks Yachts Services Marine Mechanic should be familiar with Volvo Penta Engines, Volvo IPS Drives, Twin Disc Transmissions, Fischer Panda Generators and related software. Applicants should have troubleshooting and diagnostic experience as well as service and repair expertise.
Responsibilities:
  • Troubleshoot, diagnose, service & repair Volvo Engines, Volvo IPS Drives and Fischer Panda Generators.
  • Utilize Vodia to diagnose Volvo Systems.
  • Diagnose & repair DC Systems.
  • Diagnose & repair Raw Water-Cooling Systems.
  • Perform designated inspections, maintenance and repair of marine vessels.
  • Diagnose mechanical problems and determine necessary repairs.

Qualifications:
  • Minimum 3 years of marine mechanical experience.
  • Knowledge of AC and DC wiring on vessels a plus.
  • Knowledge of using the appropriate tools and equipment to complete the required tasks safely and efficiently.

  • Strong mechanical aptitude and technical skills in marine systems and components.
  • Ability to communicate in a professional manner with customers and staff.
  • Outstanding customer service and a passion for the marine industry.
  • Friendly, approachable personality.
  • Must maintain a professional appearance at all times.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Must be able to multi-task in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to work alone or in teams.
  • Excellent time management and organizational skills.
  • Complies with all company policies and procedures.
  • Ability to lift heavy objects and work in physically demanding environments.
  • Ability to maneuver and fit in confined spaces as needed.
  • Ability to work in an upright standing position for long periods of time.
  • High School Diploma or equivalent required.
  • Must have valid driver's license.

Schedule:
Monday through Friday
  • 8-hour shift
  • Overtime as needed
  • Weekends as needed rarely
