Your role and responsibilities

The Senior Marine Commissioning Engineer plans and executes, with minimal professional guidance, complex technical field assignments involving the installation, modification, test, inspection or repair of company products and equipment. The FSE may also coordinate work with other groups to ensure meeting customer commitments. Since the FSE is often the one who interacts with the customer's operations personnel, they may also recommend measures to improve operations and customer service.

The work model for the role is: Hybrid #LI-Hybrid. The preference is for this role to be based out of Miramar, FL, however we will consider candidates based in Houston, TX as well.

This role is contributing to the Automation, Marine and Ports Division.

You will be mainly accountable for

  • Working independently to install,modify, test, repair, or inspect company products and equipment.
  • Performing or coordinating complex and diverse engineering activities associated with field projects.
  • Interpreting technical drawings and schematics and makingchanges asnecessary in the field to reflect work carried out on site.
  • Troubleshooting and repairing equipment, applying personal knowledge and experience.
  • Providingtechnical advice to customers on-site and remotely.
  • Working closely with project managers to coordinate site activity, assuming the role of site manager on some smaller projects.

Qualifications for the role

  • High School Diploma, with an Associate's Degree preferred, and a minimum of two years' experience in the mariner service industry.
  • Familiarity with marine/offshore work environment and procedures.
  • Knowledge in electrical and automation engineering is strongly preferred.
  • Strong drive for world-class customer service
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to network with relevant parties, and ability to independently work with customers.
