Job description

About the Role:

Corrocoat USA Inc is looking for a skilled and detail-oriented AMPP / NACE Coating Inspector (Level 2 or 3) to join our team in Palatka, FL. This is an exciting opportunity to apply your expertise in protective coatings inspection on meaningful industrial projects. Responsibilities:
  • Perform coating inspections in accordance with AMPP/NACE standards and project specifications
  • Conduct surface preparation assessments including blast profile, cleanliness, and environmental condition checks
  • Monitor and document dry film thickness (DFT), wet film thickness (WFT), and holiday testing
  • Review and interpret coating application procedures, project specs, and material data sheets (MDS)
  • Prepare detailed inspection reports, daily logs, and non-conformance reports (NCRs)
  • Coordinate with project managers, applicators, and clients to ensure compliance with coating systems
  • Identify coating defects, failures, and recommend corrective actions to maintain quality standards
Requirements:
  • Active AMPP / NACE Coating Inspector Level 2 or Level 3 certification required
  • Minimum 3โ€“5 years of experience in industrial protective coatings inspection
  • Proficiency with inspection instruments including DFT gauges, holiday detectors, and surface profile comparators
  • Strong knowledge of surface preparation standards (SSPC, NACE, ISO)
  • Experience in industrial, marine, oil & gas, or water/wastewater environments preferred
  • Ability to work in confined spaces, at heights, and in varying environmental conditions
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills for reporting and client interaction
  • Must be located in or willing to work in the Palatka, FL area
