Job description

Future General Manager / Managing Partner OpportunityWestside Los Angeles | Premier Franchise Dealership | Confidential

Market Area: Beverly Hills Venice Culver City Marina del Rey West Los Angeles Brentwood Pacific Palisades Westwood Playa Vista Beverly Grove Surrounding Westside Communities

Are you ready to become more than just a General Manager?

We are acquiring a premier franchise dealership in the Westside Los Angeles market and are looking for an ambitious, high-performing automotive leader who wants to build a long-term career-not simply accept another management position.

This is a unique opportunity for an experienced General Sales Manager, Assistant General Manager, or exceptional Sales Manager with the leadership ability, work ethic, business acumen, and ambition to earn the opportunity to become the dealership's General Manager while working toward future dealership ownership.

The Opportunity

During your first year, you will work directly alongside the Dealer/Operator in a hands-on executive leadership development role. You will learn every aspect of operating a successful franchise dealership while helping lead daily operations.

The objective is to prepare you to assume the General Manager role beginning in Year Two.

For the right individual, this position includes the opportunity to invest in the dealership and earn an ownership interest after successfully completing the first year. The investment structure will be customized based on the candidate's financial ability. For exceptional candidates, a combination of cash investment and earned equity ("sweat equity") may also be considered.

This is a long-term career opportunity for someone who wants to become an operating partner-not simply an employee.

Responsibilities
  • Lead all daily dealership operations with integrity and accountability.
  • Drive performance across New, Used, Finance & Insurance, Service, Parts, and Customer Satisfaction.
  • Recruit, train, mentor, and develop high-performing employees.
  • Build a culture focused on accountability, teamwork, ethics, and exceptional customer service.
  • Establish and monitor departmental budgets and profitability.
  • Conduct daily management meetings and performance reviews.
  • Oversee inventory management, merchandising, pricing, and sales strategy.
  • Ensure compliance with manufacturer standards and dealership policies.
  • Monitor CRM performance, lead management, and customer follow-up.
  • Work closely with department managers to maximize both fixed and variable operations.
  • Develop future leaders within the organization.
  • Be actively involved on the showroom floor and throughout every department every day.

Who We're Looking For

We are ideally seeking an experienced:

  • General Sales Manager
  • Assistant General Manager
  • High-Performing Sales Manager
  • Fixed Operations Leader with strong variable operations experience
Qualifications
  • Proven franchise dealership leadership experience.
  • Strong financial and operational understanding.
  • Exceptional people development skills.
  • High integrity and professionalism.
  • Outstanding communication abilities.
  • Hands-on leadership style.
  • Entrepreneurial mindset with a desire to become a future Dealer/Operator.

This is not an office job. We are looking for someone who leads from the front, coaches employees daily, solves problems in real time, and is fully engaged in every aspect of dealership operations.

Compensation

Compensation will be highly competitive and based on experience, qualifications, and performance.

The overall compensation package is designed for someone seeking long-term wealth creation through dealership ownership-not simply a salary.

A True Path to Dealership Ownership

Very few dealership opportunities offer a clearly defined path to ownership.

Working alongside an experienced Dealer/Operator, you will gain the leadership, operational, and financial experience necessary to successfully manage and potentially own a premier franchise dealership.

If your goal is to eventually operate-and potentially own-a dealership, and you're willing to earn that opportunity through performance, leadership, and commitment, we'd like to hear from you.

Confidential inquiries are encouraged. All discussions will be held in the strictest confidence.
