We are offering a $1,500 sign-on bonus to hired Full Time candidates.
Pay Rate : $20.00 - $21.00 per hour ( Pay based on experience and MAP Certification. )
The NEEDS Center is a non-profit organization dedicated to supporting adults with autism and other developmental disabilities. We are currently hiring 7 Direct Care Support Professionals who will help the adults we serve live as independently as possible. This is more than just a job�it's an opportunity to start a meaningful career with a growing organization that offers training, support, and opportunities for advancement.
No experience is necessary. As a new employee, you are provided with a paid 7-day Orientation and will receive training on CPR/First Aid, Safety Care, and Medication Administration Program (MAP). You will also receive program-specific training at your work site.
Full-time and Part-time positions available in our residential homes in:
  • Haverhill, MA : These positions are primarily either second shift, overnights, and/or weekends at one of our group residence homes.

Responsibilities include:
  • Providing hands-on care and supporting individuals with developmental disabilities with daily living skills, personal care, and household tasks.
  • Support individuals in making independent decisions and participating in valued community roles.
  • Performing light housekeeping duties to maintain a clean and safe environment, including cleaning common areas and ensuring personal spaces are tidy.
  • Help to implement clinical, educational and vocational programs.
  • Observe and record data for programs established in their Individual and Behavior support plans.
  • Participate with other team members to create a therapeutic environment that includes participating and supporting individuals at community events.
  • Administer medications or support individuals in self-medication (if you have MAP certification).

Qualifications:
  • High school diploma, GED, or equivalent REQUIRED
  • Valid Driver's License and good driving record
  • Experience with behavior management preferred (but not necessary)
  • Ability and willingness to provide hands-on personal care to adults with developmental disabilities.
  • Must be able to communicate effectively in both verbal and written form.
  • Ability to work collaboratively as part of a diverse team.
  • Ability to perform physical tasks, including lifting and remain alert during shifts.
