Job description

Document Control Support – Civil & Site Infrastructure

Location: Tualatin, OR

Duration: 12 months with possible extension

Pay Rate: $38.32/hour


Job Summary

We are seeking a detail-oriented Document Control Support Specialist to maintain and manage engineering and facility documentation for civil/site infrastructure, underground utilities, and campus development projects. This role will support the accurate creation, revision, organization, and distribution of technical drawings and project documentation.

The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience working with AutoCAD, engineering drawings, site plans, and document control processes, with particular experience in civil/site infrastructure, underground utilities, or campus development.


Key Responsibilities

  • Maintain and update site plans and building drawings, including civil, electrical, mechanical, piping, plumbing, process, P&ID, I&C, fire protection, and evacuation drawings.
  • Maintain centralized electronic and physical document management systems to ensure documents are securely organized and readily accessible.
  • Search document repositories and provide requested drawings and documentation to internal stakeholders.
  • Incorporate project close-out documentation into as-built drawings and records.
  • Update and add CAD drawings provided by Construction and Engineering teams.
  • Review incoming drawings for proper layering, formatting, naming conventions, and applicable drafting standards.
  • File project close-out documentation and maintain permit records.
  • Work with engineering, construction, facilities, and other stakeholders to develop detailed drawings from sketches, layouts, field notes, and design documentation.
  • Support drawings for underground utilities, civil/site infrastructure, campus development, tool installations, laboratories, and manufacturing areas.
  • Perform field audits and site walks to verify the accuracy of existing and newly developed drawings.
  • Update drawings based on field measurements and verified site conditions.
  • Update electrical panel schedules and single-line drawings based on field changes when applicable.
  • Gather and prepare documents for plotting accurate, to-scale equipment templates and verify dimensional accuracy.
  • Support future CAD integration with facilities/workplace management systems.
  • Follow established document control procedures for the creation, revision, review, approval, and distribution of technical documentation.
  • Utilize facilities/workplace management systems to receive work order requests and maintain status updates.
  • Support multiple teams and projects while maintaining accuracy and meeting established deadlines.


Required Qualifications

  • Working knowledge of AutoCAD and experience creating, editing, and maintaining technical drawings.
  • Ability to read and interpret architectural, civil, and engineering drawings.
  • Understanding of engineering and architectural drafting principles and standards.
  • Experience with document control, drawing management, or engineering documentation.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and meet tight deadlines.
  • Ability to support multiple teams and manage competing priorities.
  • Strong communication and organizational skills.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Experience with Bluebeam preferred.


Preferred Experience

  • Experience with underground utilities and utility mapping.
  • Experience supporting civil/site infrastructure projects.
  • Experience with campus development or large-scale facility development projects.
  • Experience with as-built documentation and construction close-out packages.
  • Experience performing field audits, site walks, and field verification.
  • Familiarity with facilities management or Integrated Workplace Management Systems (IWMS).
  • Experience with Tririga or similar facilities/work order management platforms.
  • Experience working in manufacturing, laboratory, industrial, or large-scale campus environments.
