Software Language & Tools Required: 

Experience working on a big data platform 

Demonstrated deep proficiency with Big Data processing technologies (Hadoop, Spark,HBase, Cassandra, other NO SQL solutions) 

Experience in building data pipelines and analysis tools using Java (not limited to J2EE), Scala, Python 

An understanding of databases and large-scale data processing frameworks 

Experience building large-scale server-side systems with distributed processing algorithms. 

Strong problem solving skills 

Ability to learn new languages, tools, and techniques as needed to meet project requirements 

Excellent verbal and written communication skills 


Desired Skills: 


C#/.NET, Java EE, Ruby or other object oriented programming language 

Familiarity with map data 

Familiarity with real-time streaming distributed data processing systems. 

Development experience with Linux or Unix 

Experience with Amazon Web Services (AWS) or other cloud hosting provider 


Education/Experience Required: 

Minimum 5 years Programming work experience; 

Four year degree from an accredited university with a Bachelor's degree in the field of Computer Science or related field, and/or equivalent work experience.

Qualifications
