Job Responsibilities

  • Use MicroStation to perform accurate drafting and annotation for the development of plans and specifications for traffic projects that include traffic signal design, illumination, ITS design, graphical figures, and other miscellaneous items.
  • Complete redlines for modification of existing plans and notes or preparation of new details or design elements.
  • Complete construction plan sets by compiling all plan, profile, note and detail sheets to present a comprehensive design.
  • Ability to learn and self-teach new software as directed.

Job Requirements

  • 2+ years experience in civil engineering CAD including traffic signal design, illumination, ITS design, graphical figures, and other miscellaneous items
  • Technical degree or certification in CAD software and specific MicroStation experience.
  • Ability to work between MicroStation, AutoCAD, and Civil 3D is a plus.
  • Excellent teamwork and communication skills to work in a fast–paced environment dedicated to meeting deadlines.
  • Have a working understanding of sheet set up, roadway alignments, profiles, traffic control, signing and pavement markings is a plus
  • Have a working knowledge of Geopak Road and/or OpenRoads is a plus.
  • Have a working knowledge of Projectwise is a plus.
  • Attention to detail and thoroughness in completing multi-step tasks.
