Job Description: SAP ABAP Consultant (ECC & S/4HANA)
Location: Neenah or Oconomowoc in Wisconsin area  (Day one onsite submits only who is local or who can be ready to relocate to WI)
Duration: Long Term Contract

Role Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled SAP ABAP Consultant with deep experience across ECC and S/4HANA environments. The ideal candidate will be proficient in custom development, Z-table data extraction, and preparing detailed technical documentation that maps extracted data to business logic. This role requires strong analytical capabilities, performance tuning expertise, and cross-functional collaboration.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop, enhance, and maintain ABAP programs in ECC and S/4HANA systems.
  • Extract and analyze data from custom Z-tables across modules (FI, MM, SD, HR, etc.).
  • Collaborate with functional teams to understand business logic and data dependencies.
  • Prepare comprehensive technical documentation including:

oData extraction logic

oField-level mappings

oBusiness rule interpretation

oSource-to-target lineage

  • Perform performance tuning and optimization of custom reports and data extraction routines.
  • Conduct unit testing and support integration testing with functional teams.
  • Ensure adherence to SAP development standards and naming conventions.
  • Support migration and transformation initiatives involving ECC to S/4HANA.

Documentation & Technical Design

  • Version-controlled documentation for migration audits

Preferred Qualifications

  • 10 years of SAP ABAP experience with at least 3 years in S/4HANA.
  • Experience in ECC to S/4HANA development & migration projects.
  • Good understanding of FI, CO, SD, MM, PP & SRM processes and modules.
  • Exposure to BI/ BW is an added advantage
