We are currently looking for a Test Technician to join our team onsite in our Orlando, FL office. We offer a 9/80 work schedule and foster a professional, high-energy culture where employees are empowered to succeed.

The Test Technician supports the execution of engineering and manufacturing test activities for optical and electro-optical products. This role focuses on accurate, repeatable execution of defined test procedures, operation of test equipment, data collection, and first-level troubleshooting. The Test Technician works closely with Test Engineers, Manufacturing, and Quality to ensure that test results are reliable, traceable, and compliant with defined requirements.

Responsibilities:

  • Execute engineering and manufacturing test procedures in accordance with approved work instructions and specifications.
  • Set up, operate, and maintain test stations, fixtures, instrumentation, and automation equipment.
  • Perform routine calibration checks and verify test system readiness prior to execution.
  • Accurately collect, record, and upload test data into designated databases or data systems.
  • Identify and document test anomalies, equipment issues, and out-of-family results.
  • Support troubleshooting of test failures under direction of Test Engineers or the Test Engineering Manager.
  • Assist with equipment commissioning, qualification, and validation activities.
  • Follow safety, quality, and ESD procedures at all times.
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives related to test efficiency, repeatability, and yield.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Knowledge, ability and skills:

  • Operate electronic, optical, or electro-mechanical test equipment.
  • Basic understanding of calibration concepts and measurement principles.

Required

  • Associate degree or technical certification in Electrical, Mechanical, Manufacturing, or related technical field; or equivalent hands-on experience.
  • 2+ years of experience in a test, manufacturing, or laboratory technician role.
  • Ability to follow detailed technical procedures and work instructions.
  • Proficiency with computers for data entry and basic analysis.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to data accuracy.
  • Must be authorized to work and reside in the U.S. and eligible for required U.S. Government authorizations (ITAR).

Preferred

  • Experience supporting optical or electro-optical product testing.
  • Familiarity with automated test systems or LabVIEW-based test stations.
  • Experience working in a regulated manufacturing or quality-controlled environment (ISO 9001 / AS9100).
  • Ability to read basic engineering drawings and schematics.
  • Experience with SPC data collection or yield monitoring.
