Summary
 
We are seeking a senior Chemist to assist our clients Water Analysis Instruments manufacturing organization. The candidate will support the ongoing transfer to regular manufacturing of water-based chemical solutions including pH buffers, chemical reagents, and ion-specific variants. Project work will focus on updating and optimizing the manufacturing process of these solutions. This hands-on position requires problem-solving, teamwork, excellent communication, and experience in reagents manufacturing processes.
 
 
Responsibilities 
  • Design, test, and manufacture lab solutions.
  • Optimize current solution manufacturing processes to improve quality, reduce costs, improve regulatory compliance, and resolve documentation issues.
  • Oversee production of solutions, review documentation, and collaborate with team and facilities to streamline processes.
  • Review and update production documentation; work with Quality and SMEs to align instructions to actions.
  • Apply process metrics and KPIs to identify areas of improvement and characterize process enhancements.
  • Perform root-cause investigations on systems and components to correct problems and improve product quality and reliability.
  • Interface with Manufacturing, Technical Operations, Compliance, Quality, Purchasing, and Product Management groups.
Required Skills
  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Chemistry or Chemical Engineering.
  • Strong knowledge of electrochemistry, formulation science, chemical processes, and process engineering principles.
  • Strong hands-on experience in Technical Writing
  • Minimum 3 years of manufacturing experience within an ISO 13485 environment.
  • Knowledge and experience in Analytical Chemistry.
  • Knowledge and experience with conductivity, water testing, ISE design, electrode manufacture, ionic strength adjustment solutions, and titration.
  • Familiarity with Bill of Materials (BOM).
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Ability to communicate and work well in cross-functional team environments.
  • Adept at working in a fast-paced setting and acting with urgency.
