Join Intel as a System Software Engineer, where you will play a pivotal role in designing, developing, and optimizing software solutions across Intel's cutting-edge technology portfolio. In this critical position, you will contribute to the entire software stack spanning firmware, drivers, operating systems, middleware, frameworks, algorithms, and applications that enable Intel's innovative hardware features and capabilities. Your expertise will directly impact Intel's ability to deliver world-class products across diverse domains including AI, cloud computing, graphics, manufacturing, security, and virtualization technologies. By collaborating with cross-functional teams and external partners, you will help shape the future of computing platforms, ensure software quality and reliability, and drive technological advancements that power innovation globally while maintaining Intel's leadership position in the semiconductor industry.
Key Responsibilities may include but not limited to:
• Design, develop, integrate, validate, and debug software solutions across multiple layers of the software stack
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams and external partners to understand requirements and deliver innovative software solutions
• Optimize software performance, reliability, and scalability for Intel platforms and hardware features
• Create comprehensive validation plans, test methodologies, and automation scripts to ensure software functionality and quality
• Analyze validation results, debug software failures, and implement corrective actions to resolve technical issues
• Develop reference software platforms and solutions to maximize value and showcase Intel product capabilities
• Ensure adherence to coding standards, security guidelines, and best practices throughout development processes
• Troubleshoot complex software issues and provide systematic solutions to enhance stability and performance
• Stay updated on industry trends and emerging technologies to drive innovation and maintain competitive advantage.
• Support software integration, testing, and validation activities from presilicon development through postsilicon deployment
• Create and maintain documentation, standards, and procedures to ensure consistency and knowledge sharing across teams
Annual Salary Range for jobs to be performed in Hillsboro, OR: $127,878 - $156,740 USD
This position requires work at the Intel site at least 4 days per week in accordance with company policy.
Qualifications:
Master's degree or foreign equivalent in Electrical/Electronic Engineering, &/or Computer Engineering, or Science, or other STEM-related degree and no experience; or Bachelor's degree or foreign equivalent in Electrical/Electronic Engineering, &/or Computer Engineering, or Science, or other STEM-related degree and 3 years of experience in the job offered or related occupation.
