Job description

MANUFACTURING PROJECT TECHNICIAN (ENGINEERING)

Come join our team!  Clairon Metals has an immediate opening for an experienced Project Technician. We are looking for a hands-on person who will interact with customers to develop new business and build partnerships.  Responsible for working with the Engineering Manager to effectively launch new parts and tooling from kickoff to production release. This is a salaried exempt position.

Preferred Qualifications:

·          Must have at least 3 years of related experience as a Project Tech, preferably in a manufacturing environment.

·          Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree preferred but not required.

·          Highly proficient in Microsoft Office and strong knowledge of project management methodologies.

·          Exceptional verbal and written communication skills.

·          Excellent interpersonal skills to effectively collaborate with all levels of the company and customers.

Summary of Job Responsibilities:

·         Holds Job Award Notification (JAN) meeting to communicate new job award information.

·         Communicates program schedules to the customer and drives the internal departments to meet dates.

·         Assists Dept. Mgrs. with pre-production trials, Good Parts Trial and Run at Rate trials prior to production start-up.

·         Manages data input into PLSR database.

·         Reviews QA dept. final approved PPAP, and authorizes QA to send PPAP to customer for approval.

·         Provides up-front design and sales support.

·         Assists in packaging development for new products

·         Develops and distributes trial part pricing to customer.

·         All other duties as assigned.
