Job description

Empowered Staffing is partnered with one of the largest and fastest-growing retail partners in North America, and an industry leader in the design, development, and production of store fixtures.

Due to continued growth, the company is looking to hire a Project Manager to join their Chicago team and serve as the primary point person overseeing retail fixture and merchandising projects from planning and sourcing through final delivery.

Responsibilities:

  • Plan, direct, and coordinate activities associated with a given project. This can include development, estimating, budgeting, project plan creation, purchasing, production planning, and distribution scheduling.
  • Working with multiple manufacturing processes, including metal, plastic, and wood fabrication, digital printing, screen printing, and more as needed
  • Work closely with all internal departments and domestic and overseas vendors to plan, manufacture, and deliver retail fixtures and environments.
  • Manage, prioritize, and drive multiple complex projects from planning to manufacturing, all while maintaining timelines and budgets and holding team members and vendors accountable
  • Actively manage materials inventories and re-orders
  • Review engineering drawings
  • Develop and maintain excellent vendor relationships
  • Ensure timely and relevant communication amongst all stakeholders
  • Identify opportunities for process improvement, including cost control, cost reduction, and efficiencies

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience
  • 8+ years of Project Management experience in store fixture or related industry
  • Experience in metal/wood/plastics manufacturing techniques
  • ERP experience
  • Ability to work independently, as well as collaboratively, in a team environment
  • Must possess the ability to manage multiple projects and priorities in a fast-paced environment
  • Excellent communication skills (verbal and written)
  • Strong proficiency with Microsoft Office is required
