Job description

Manufacturing Production Supervisor -

Shift 1 (Monday - Thursday 5:45 am - 4:30 pm)

The Production Supervisor provides guidance to production staff to ensure a safe and productive work environment. You will regularly exercise sound judgment when managing your assigned workforce and facilitating training and development. You will direct the production operations for your department by performing the following duties personally or through your leadership team.

Responsibilities:

· Creates and implements training schedules for selected employees

· Responsible for scaling staff according to the production plan.

· Must be able to coordinate with other groups within the company to ensure timelines are met.

· Evaluates subordinates and reviews their objectives and performance

· Plans and conducts periodic inventories of consumable materials

· Monitors and tracks employee vacation and absenteeism

· Participates in weekly production review meetings with upper management and vendors.

· Direct responsibility for quality, production flow, including assembly and final test, as well as meeting customer commitments.

· Monitors, tracks, and verifies production activities on the shop floor utilizing the available production recording tools

· Develops employees’ career paths, provides coaching and counseling to subordinates, and assists them with establishing expectations, objectives, and goals

· Needs to be flexible in the hours required

· Directs a staff of 75+ production employees

· Must be an all-star player to fill this position

· Must be able to coach and mentor in a contracted staff environment.

· Willing to put in the time to make the department a success.

· Other duties as assigned

QUALIFICATIONS:

· Minimum of 2 years production supervisor experience strongly preferred.

· 2-year degree or equivalent experience.

· Manufacturing experience in a computer or electronics-based company preferred.

· Excellent communication, Project Management, and interpersonal skills

· Strong Leadership and Organizational Skills

· Knowledge of Excel, Word, Access, Project, and PowerPoint
