Scope:

As the Mica Pigment Production Supervisor at SUSONITY LLC's Savannah Facility, you will be part of a motivated team producing innovative effect pigments for automotive coatings, cosmetics, plastics, printing, as well as food and pharmaceuticals.

Responsibilities:

  • Manufacturing materials to ensure quality, deliver planned quantities, manage inventory, and cost control; while maintaining high standards for housekeeping, safety, and environmental compliance.
  • The supervisor will actively support, promote, and sustain an interdependent culture in safety and quality.
  • The supervisor will support operational excellence through continuous improvement which includes CAPEX scoping and support of implementation, Best Practice Sharing, and participation in projects.
  • The supervisor is responsible for their area's key performance indicators and delegation of authority to direct reports to achieve the KPIs.

Qualifications:

  • High School diploma or GED equivalent. Bachelor's degree in chemistry or related field, preferred.
  • 5 years of experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • 2 years in a leadership or supervisory capacity.
  • Demonstrated safety knowledge including Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) and proper use of PPE.
  • Proficient in the use of typical computer hardware and software.
  • Proficient in Word, Excel, and PowerPoint software.
  • CPR and First Aid certification.
  • Exposure to Lean & Six Sigma and ISO certification.
  • Experience in a chemical manufacturing environment.
  • Experience in SAP or ERP-related software.

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to work in a manufacturing plant which may include loud noise, extreme hot/cold temps.
  • Ability to wear PPE as required.
  • Ability to sit, stand for periods of time.
  • Ability to operate office technology and programs.
