Department/Team: Reports toProduction Supervisor in Manufacturing / Production
Shift (if applicable): Day Shift
JELD-WEN is one of the world's largest door and window manufacturers, with more than 22,000 employees operating in 24 countries globally. Headquartered in Charlotte, North Carolina, JELD-WEN designs, produces and distributes an extensive range of interior and exterior doors, wood, vinyl and aluminum windows. Position available for General Production to assist our team in providing value-added goods and services to our customers.
Depending on assignment, our team members may do any of the following duties:
  • Operate small and large machines in the production of windows
  • Work on window assembly lines
  • Inspect all product for quality
  • Material preparation and material handling
  • Staging and packaging finished product for delivery
  • Other general warehouse duties as needed
  • Ability to read a tape measure.
  • Basic math skills including fractions.
  • Ability to read/write/speak English.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs with or without assistance.
  • Manual labor work experience preferred.

Physical Demands:
The physical demands described here are representative, but not all inclusive, of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. The employee is occasionally required to sit, climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl. The employee must occasionally move stock, materials, and unfinished and finished product in and near their work areas.
Work Environment:
The employee may be exposed to fumes, airborne particles, moving mechanical parts and machines, vibrations, and loud noises.
Previous experience in a manufacturing or similar environment is preferred, but not required.
