Job description

Snelling is recruiting a Production Technician for an established company in the Bessemer area!  Production Technicians work within various manufacturing stations assembling materials under the direction of the production manager. Technicians are responsible for assembling products in a timely manner while maintaining quality and low turnover. This company deals with Firearms and Ammunition. They are looking for qualified candidates who are comfortable in that environment! 

Schedule: 2nd shift (1:00pm-9:00pm)
Pay Rate: $18.00-22.00/hr

Responsibilities and Requirements of Production Technician:
  • Responsible for maintaining equipment, safety, housekeeping, and processes of the assigned work area.
  • Meet established procedures, rules, and standards.
  • Support and communicate with technicians and machinists, while being capable of performing other job duties in case of employee absence or additional requirements.
  • Responsible for reporting and analyzing problems within tools, materials, supplies, and machines.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, challenging environment.
  • Ability to stand or sit for long hours.
  • Ability to operate power tools and basic machinery.
  • Must be comfortable handling firearms.
  • Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds.
Education/Experience Required of Production Technician:
  • High school diploma or GED preferred. Previous manufacturing experience is required.
  • 2-3 years excpereince in the manufacturing environment with basic machine operating experience
  • Ability to read, comprehend and listen to verbal instructions.
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints
