Feeder Packer Wage: Starting at $21.13/hour, Automatic raisesup to $23.48/hour. Unionized facility with great career potential, including promotions to $30 /hour!

Feeder Packer Schedule: 7am - 3pm Monday - Friday OR 3pm - 11pm Monday - Friday ($0.75/hour shift differential)
When Overtime is required: 3am - 3pm for day shift, 3pm - 3am for 2nd shift

JOB TITLE:Feeder Packer

DEPARTMENT: Finishing

WORK SCHEDULE:8 Hour Shift

JOB SUMMARY:

The Feeder Packer places cartons into the production machine feed and removes cartons from machine, inspects/pack cartons, performs quality checks, and completes documentation. The Feeder Packer is an entry level manufacturing position.

Finishing Feeder Job Functions

· Feeds flat stock, cut cartons into production machine to ensure they are glued and formed properly.

· Manages production machine stops by safely clearing jams, and system errors, notifies leads, manufacturing supervisors and maintenance as needed to ensure minimal down time.

· Works Flat packing & rework as needed

· Assists Glue Machine Operator in any way needed to keep production machine running

· Documents maintenance report, log sheet, manufacturing QA checks and production

Catches and inspects cartons coming off production machine to ensure they are glued and formed properly.

Checks for defects by pulling stacks of cartons off machine, dropping stack on table, fanning out the stack and tapping.

Packs off product into case and tapes completed box closed per manufacturing specification.

Palletizes as needed.

Flat packing & rework.

Checks level of glue on carton throughout shift and informs Glue Machine Operator/Feeder of any problems.

Assists Glue Machine Operator and Feeder in any way needed to keep machine running.

· Provides relief for breaks as needed

· Keeps production area and machine clean throughout shift

· Responsible for understanding and adhering to all GMP, manufacturing, safety, food safety, SQF, HACCP and food defense procedures (training will be provided)

· Any other reasonable request from management
