Job description

Build What Matters at Heritage Bag โ€” Can Liner Division

Shape your career in high-impact manufacturing. As the Lead Operator across blown-film extrusion and bag-making, youโ€™ll keep our can-liner lines running safely, efficiently, and to specโ€”while setting the pace for quality.

Your impact
  • Drive end-to-end production: extrude film for trash can liners and convert it on bag lines
  • Own quick, precise changeovers to meet varied product runs
  • Perform routine equipment careโ€”screens, blades, and Teflon tape included
  • Flag issues early and partner with supervisors/maintenance to resolve
  • Maintain output and quality targets across assigned lines
  • Record production and scrap accurately in our systems
  • Prepare finished goods: wrap, weigh, and secure pallets
  • Lead by example on safety, enforcing policies and procedures
  • Provide coverage during breaks, meals, and shift handoffs
  • Contribute wherever neededโ€”other duties as assigned
What sets you up for success
  • High school diploma or equivalent (GED)
  • Background in a manufacturing environment
  • 3+ years operating production machinery
  • Direct experience with blown-film extrusion
  • Comfort operating Glouster 418โ€“type bag machines (preferred)
  • Experience with CMD Rotary bag machines and winders (preferred)
  • Knowledge of polyethylene resin conveying and blending systems
  • Organized communicator who keeps teams aligned
  • Basic computer skills for data entry and production reporting
