Schedule: FT/Days 6:00 AM - 6:00 PM or FT/Nights 6:00 PM - 6:00 AM.
Payrate: $17.85/hr + $2.00 Shift Differential
Job Description:
Now hiring Production Workers for a well-established food manufacturing facility in Mars Hill. This is a great entry-level opportunity for individuals seeking steady, full-time work in a clean, safety-focused production environment. No prior food production experience is required - training is provided. A comprehensive benefits package is available following the temp-to-hire period.
The Production Worker is responsible for setting up, sanitizing, and operating food production equipment while supporting daily manufacturing operations. Duties include loading and unloading materials, packaging and sorting finished products, removing waste, and maintaining a clean work area. Employees are expected to follow instructions and adhere to all safety and sanitation guidelines to ensure product quality and workplace safety.
Responsibilities:
  • Assemble, operate, and disassemble equipment used for production purposes.
  • Load and unload raw materials and/or finished products.
  • Perform routine control checks to ensure that equipment is functioning properly and that all quality/safety standards are being met.
  • Remove and properly dispose of waste produced during the production process.
  • Package finished goods and sort materials for storage and/or shipment.
  • Keep work areas clean and orderly; follow all food safety and sanitation guidelines as directed.
  • Adhere to all workplace safety policies and report incidents and/or potential hazards to management.
  • Perform additional duties as requested by site supervisor.

Job Requirements:
  • High school diploma or equivalent education required.
  • Ability to move/lift up to 50 lbs. unassisted and stand for long periods of time.
  • Prior experience in a food production setting helpful.
  • Background check required.
