The Plant Maintenance Manager leads facility, equipment, and utility maintenance to ensure safe, continuous, and high-precision production. This role combines hands-on mechanical and fabrication expertise with strategic leadership to drive preventative maintenance, asset reliability, and continuous improvement.
Key Responsibilities
  • Team & Operations Leadership: Direct daily operations, mentor maintenance technicians, manage contractor activities, and oversee budgeting, spare parts, and procurement.
  • Maintenance & Reliability: Develop, execute, and refine Preventative/Predictive Maintenance (PM/PdM) programs. Lead root-cause analysis for permanent equipment fixes.
  • Hands-on Support: Troubleshoot, repair, and fabricate (TIG/MIG welding, machining, mechanical assembly) mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems.
  • Facility & Infrastructure: Oversee utility improvements, HVAC modifications, machinery moves, and space optimization.
  • Cross-Functional Partnering: Collaborate with Production, Engineering, and EHS to maintain safety, regulatory compliance, and equipment readiness.
Qualifications
Required
  • Experience: 5+ years in industrial or aerospace manufacturing maintenance and facilities.
  • Technical Skills: Strong troubleshooting for mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical systems/schematics.
  • Fabrication: Proven welding (TIG/MIG/Arc) and mechanical repair experience.
  • Reliability: Experience building or managing Preventative Maintenance (PM) systems.
  • Physical & Schedule: Ability to lift 75 lbs; primarily day-shift with occasional off-shift support during critical upgrades.
Preferred
  • Prior supervisory/leadership experience.
  • Composite or aerospace manufacturing background.
  • Machine shop experience (lathes, mills, drill presses).
  • PLC/controls knowledge or a Limited Electrical Maintenance license.
