Job description

Position Summary
We are seeking a skilled CNC Machine Operator to join a fast-paced industrial manufacturing environment in Travelers Rest, SC. This position is responsible for setting up, operating, and monitoring CNC machinery to produce high-quality metal components according to precise specifications. The ideal candidate will have strong mechanical aptitude, attention to detail, and a commitment to workplace safety and production efficiency. Candidates should be comfortable working in a production setting while maintaining quality standards and meeting daily production goals.
Key Responsibilities
  • Make offsets and change inserts during operation
  • Translate engineering drawings and requirements into dimensions for production.
  • Ensure the CNC machine operates in accordance with the guidelines of the company
  • Oversee the machines while they execute the tasks and make the necessary changes to produce improved results
  • Check machinery daily to guarantee functionality
  • Record all machine actions by completing production and quality logs
  • Communicate logistics issues that arise in the process of creating a part
  • Ensure that results of machining process align with client expectations
  • Conduct regular CNC machine assessments
  • Adhere to all company safety policies and procedures including PPE requirements to perform the job safely
Qualifications & Skills
  • High school diploma or equivalent qualification required
  • 2-3 years’ CNC experience required.
  • Experience with Fanuc, Fadul, Doosan, and Haas mills preferred
  • Ability to efficiently read calipers
  • Ability to translate mechanical documents and engineering drawings
  • Great attention to detail with a goal-driven attitude
  • Strong comprehension and analytical abilities
  • Steel toed boots required
  • Forklift experience a plus
  • Able to do basic mill set ups
  • Understand basic Fanuc controls
  • Capable of interpreting blueprints
  • Able to understand geometric signs and tolerances
  • Capable of reading and using measuring instruments
  • Knowledge of Algebra and math functions
Employment Type & Compensation
  • This is a Full-Time | Temp-to-Hire position
  • Pay rate is $18.00 - $20.00 per hour, based on experience
