Job description

Production Planner / Coordinator – Food ManufacturingFull-Time | In PersonWe are a small food manufacturing company operating one production line with approximately 50 employees, and we are looking for an organized, hands-on Production Planner / Coordinator to help keep our daily production running efficiently. This is not a corporate planning position and it is not a desk-only job.You will work directly with production, warehouse, purchasing, inventory, and management to make sure the production line has the right materials, ingredients, packaging, people, and schedule to meet our daily production goals.Because we are a smaller manufacturer, we are looking for someone who is comfortable wearing multiple hats and solving problems directly on the production floor. What You Will DoPrepare daily and weekly production schedules for our manufacturing line.Determine production priorities based on customer orders and inventory.Calculate ingredient, raw material, and packaging requirements for scheduled production.Make sure required materials are available before production begins.Coordinate with purchasing and warehouse personnel on inventory and material needs.Communicate the daily production plan to production management.Spend time on the production floor monitoring progress against the schedule.Track actual production versus planned production.Adjust schedules when equipment, staffing, materials, or other issues affect production.Maintain production records, spreadsheets, and inventory information.Help identify material shortages before they affect production.Assist with finished-goods inventory and shipping coordination.Help management identify opportunities to reduce downtime, waste, and production delays.Use Excel and our production systems to improve planning and organization.Be open to learning and using new technology and AI tools that can make everyday planning tasks more efficient.Who We Are Looking ForWe are not looking for a senior corporate supply-chain executive or someone to manage a large multi-line manufacturing facility. We are looking for someone who understands manufacturing and wants to take responsibility for keeping one production line organized and prepared every day.Ideal candidates may currently be working as a:Production CoordinatorJunior Production PlannerMaterials CoordinatorInventory CoordinatorProduction SupervisorAssistant Production ManagerWe would especially like to meet candidates who have 2–5 years of manufacturing experience and are ready to take on more responsibility.Food manufacturing experience is preferred but not required.Skills We ValueStrong organizational skillsAttention to detailGood communicationComfortable working with numbersExcel proficiencyInventory and materials knowledgeManufacturing experienceAbility to work under pressure when production plans changeWillingness to work on the production and warehouse floorAbility to work directly with employees and management in a small-company environmentExperience with an ERP or manufacturing planning system is helpful, but we are more interested in finding someone who understands manufacturing, learns quickly, and can keep production organized. The Type of Person Who Will Succeed HereYou like being involved. If production is short on packaging, you want to know why.If tomorrow's production requires an ingredient, you make sure it is available today. If the line falls behind schedule, you go to the floor, find out what happened, and update the plan. You don't just create a production schedule — you follow it through the factory and help make sure it happens.Because we are a smaller manufacturer, your work will have a direct impact on our daily operation. Work Location: In person, Full TimeLanguage: Must be bilingual- English and SpanishPlease do not send your resume if this position as posted DOES NOT meet your salary requirements.
