We are seeking a Production Liaison Engineer to support the production and lifecycle management of avionics products by serving as the technical bridge between customers, manufacturing, and engineering teams. In this role, you will troubleshoot technical issues, support product reliability improvements, and help ensure continued product performance throughout its lifecycle.

About the Role:
The Production Liaison Engineer
serves as a key technical liaison between customers, manufacturing, and engineering teams. This role is responsible for troubleshooting technical issues, investigating product failures, supporting reliability improvements, and helping ensure the continued performance and supportability of avionics products throughout their lifecycle.
The role provides day-to-day engineering support to production operations, facilitates communication between Engineering and Manufacturing, and helps drive timely resolution of technical issues affecting product quality, reliability, and delivery.
Location: Irvine, CA, fully onsite.

Key Responsibilities:
Production Support
  • Provide technical support to manufacturing teams during product assembly and testing.
  • Assist technicians with troubleshooting hardware and system issues.
  • Coordinate with Engineering, Quality, and Manufacturing to resolve production-related technical issues and support continuous improvement efforts.
  • Support implementation of engineering changes and technical dispositions within the manufacturing environment.

Engineering Interface
  • Act as a liaison between engineering design teams and production technicians.
  • Communicate technical issues and coordinate engineering support.
  • Review and communicate engineering changes, technical dispositions, and design updates to manufacturing personnel.

Failure Analysis
  • Investigate product failures and perform root cause analysis.
  • Support corrective actions and reliability improvements.
  • Document findings and support corrective and preventive action activities.

Trend Analysis
  • Monitor recurring issues and support trend analysis of production defects.
  • Analyze production and field performance data to identify trends and recommend product and process improvements.

Customer Support
  • Serve as the technical interface between customers, manufacturing, and engineering teams to investigate product issues, provide technical support, and drive timely resolution of customer concerns.
  • Support customer technical inquiries related to product performance, repairs, and engineering investigations while coordinating internal resources to achieve resolution.

Documentation
  • Maintain failure records, troubleshooting documentation, and product history.
  • Prepare technical reports and engineering documentation to support product investigations and resolution activities.

Required Skills, Experience and Behaviors:
  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering.
  • 3-7 years of engineering or technical support experience.
  • Ability to read electrical schematics and mechanical drawings.
  • Experience supporting production, manufacturing, sustaining engineering, product support engineering, or aerospace electronics environments preferred.
  • Strong troubleshooting and diagnostic skills.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.

Base salary range of $90,000 - $105,000 DOE per annum. The final salary offer will be determined after reviewing relevant factors, including but not limited to location, skill set; relevant experience; and other business and organizational needs.
