Job description

Salary: $90,000 - $120,000 (DOE)

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Manufacturing Engineer to join our team. The Manufacturing Engineer will be responsible for developing manufacturing processes, planning, and coordinating the production of complex machined, mechanical, and welded assemblies. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of manufacturing principles, engineering drawings, and quality requirements. We have an immediate opening for this position.

Responsibilities include:

  • Developing machining and assembly processes, operation sheets, and tooling.
  • Understanding customer purchase order requirements, specifications, and evaluating machine part and assembly engineering drawings to determine production processes.
  • Recognizing customer quality and inspection requirements.
  • Demonstrating a comprehensive understanding of CAD and working with CAD drawings. Autodesk products experience is a plus.
  • Coordinating the production of complex machined, mechanical, and welded assemblies.
  • Ensuring compliance with engineering drawings, specifications, GD&T, and close tolerance manufacturing processes.

Skills/Qualifications:

  • Minimum 5 years of experience as a Manufacturing Engineer, CNC Programmer, or Estimator.
  • Strong background in developing manufacturing processes for machined, mechanical, and welded assemblies.
  • Comprehensive understanding of engineering drawings, specifications, and GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing).
  • Extensive knowledge of close tolerance manufacturing processes.
  • Proficiency in CAD software; Autodesk products are a plus.
  • Ability to interpret customer purchase order requirements and specifications.
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Strong communication and collaboration abilities.
  • Experience in a Navy/Submarine manufacturing environment is a plus.
