JOB PURPOSE

PHINIA is seeking a dynamic and motivated individual to join our HR Shared Services Team as a Year-Round HR Intern. In this role, you will work closely with the US HR team to support key HR functions such as student program initiatives, maintaining employee personnel folders, employee engagement, etc. This is an excellent opportunity to gain hands-on experience and to apply your academic knowledge in a professional environment while developing practical HR skills and contributing to meaningful business initiatives. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, proactive, eager to learn, and excited to support process improvements, including the implementation of AI-driven solutions that enhance HR efficiency and the employee experience.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead recruitment process for students including requisition creation, job posting, resume review, phone screening, interview coordination, and offer generation for all US locations

  • Complete I-9s and folders for new hires ensuring compliance

  • Help maintain new hire orientation slides to update all local information as required

  • Support process documentation for recruitment, onboarding, engagement, and all related procedures allowing continuous improvement to enhance efficiency for all processes

  • Assist with the US student program including planning for student events and coordinating assignments

  • Support the World Headquarters engagement committee

  • Support the implementation of AI to improve HR process efficiency

  • Other projects as assigned

What we're looking for

  • Actively pursuing bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business, or a related field

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, and Word)

  • 6+ months recruitment experience preferred
