Company Description and Job Summary

Accumet Engineering Inc, is an industry-leading advanced processing manufacturer for new and legacy materials fabrication, precision laser services, and critical component assembly. We are looking for an experienced Quality Inspector who will be responsible for ensuring compliance with the customer supplied drawing as well as quality notes and dimensional measurement requirements. The Quality Inspectors will utilize multiple visual inspection devices and measurement tools determined by the specific needs of each Job.

Responsibilities

  • Verify part dimensions and tolerances to ensure conformance to specifications of both incoming material and production parts
  • Perform In-Process Inspection (IPI) of production to verify quality assurance standards are being achieved
  • Complete Inspection reports and NCRs (non-conformance reports)
  • Validate documentation and monitor calibration activities
  • Knowledge of ISO/AS Requirements
  • Reconcile final inspection documentation
  • Validate documentation and monitor calibration activities
  • Collaborate with other departments to resolve quality-related issues
  • Record inspection results and communicate with production team on any necessary adjustments
  • Ensure compliance to safety regulations and company policies
  • Assist in training new inspectors on quality standards and inspection procedures

Requirements

  • Ability to read and interpret GDNT Blueprint readings
  • Attention to detail and ability to identify defects or deviations from standards
  • Experience using inspection tools, e.g.  Pin Gage; Vernier; CMM, micrometers, calipers, height gauges
  • Experience with JobBOSS software, or equivalent
  • Experience working in a manufacturing or production environment
  • Interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently and make decisions based on inspection findings
  • Ability to work flexible hours and overtime as needed

Physical Demands

The employee is occasionally required to stand and walk; lift and/or move up to 30 pounds. Specific vision ability is required which includes close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus. The employee is occasionally exposed to fumes or airborne particles. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
