We are seeking a versatile and experienced Engineering Manager to join our team!


Job Summary:

We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Engineering Manager to oversee our skilled engineering team. The ideal candidate will have strong communication and team-building skills, a deep understanding of assembly processes, supplier management, and a forward-thinking mindset. The candidate should also possess hands-on CAD experience to effectively guide the team in supporting existing products and managing technical designs. As Engineering Manager, you will lead the team in identifying opportunities for innovation and next-generation product development.

Requirements:

Key Responsibilities:

  • Leadership & Team Development: Lead and mentor a cross-functional engineering team, including mechanical engineers, drafters, and software specialist.
  • Supplier Collaboration: Manage relationships with suppliers to ensure product quality and address any supplier-related challenges, including qualification, audits, and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Product Support: Oversee engineering support for existing products, including troubleshooting, redesigns, and quality control, while working closely with production teams.
  • Product Ideation & Innovation: Actively contribute to the development of new product concepts, drawing on customer needs and market trends. Identify opportunities for integrating new technology to enhance product performance and functionality.
  • Vision for Future Technology: Guide the evolution of the company's products, ensuring that they remain competitive by exploring opportunities for technological advancements and innovation.
  • CAD & Technical Design: Utilize CAD software to support design modifications, improvements, and new product ideation. Ensure that the team is equipped to handle CAD-based projects and that designs align with engineering specifications.
  • Process Improvement: Identify and implement improvements to the assembly process, ensuring efficiencies are achieved and best practices are followed.
  • Communication & Coordination: Serve as the engineering liaison between the production team, management, and suppliers to ensure clear communication on technical requirements and deadlines.
  • Compliance & Documentation: Ensure compliance with relevant industry standards and maintain proper documentation for designs, processes, and supplier qualifications.
  • Strategic Development: Work with senior leadership to support product development goals by coordinating efforts between suppliers and internal teams.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or a related field.
  • 5+ years of experience in engineering roles, with at least 2 years in a leadership position.
  • Strong understanding of assembly and supplier management; experience in quality control and supplier qualification is a plus.
  • CAD experience required, with the ability to support design efforts and guide the team in technical projects.
  • A general interest in technology-driven product development and willingness to explore new possibilities for improving existing product lines.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to lead, motivate, and develop a team.
  • Proven ability to manage projects, meet deadlines, and maintain high-quality standards.
  • Experience working in manufacturing environments, particularly with an emphasis on mechanical and electronic product support.
  • Ability to collaborate with worldwide suppliers on product development and improvement.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience in the Automotive or HVAC markets.
