Summary (Main Purpose)

The Manufacturing Engineering Technician supports the design, implementation, and optimization of manufacturing

processes to improve efficiency, quality, and safety. This role involves working closely with engineers and production

teams to ensure the successful production of high-quality products.


Job Duties and Responsibilities (Essential Functions)

Assist in the setup and maintenance of manufacturing equipment and systems.

Support engineers in analyzing production processes to identify areas for improvement.

Implement lean manufacturing principles under the guidance of engineers to reduce waste and increase efficiency.

Collaborate with production teams to ensure the manufacturability of new products.

Troubleshoot and resolve basic manufacturing issues.

Conduct time and motion studies to optimize workflow.

Assist in developing and maintaining process documentation and standard operating procedures (SOPs).

Ensure compliance with safety and quality standards.

Recommend or assist in designing tools and equipment needed for production based on engineering specifications.

Perform routine calibration of manufacturing equipment.

Other tasks as needed by Manager.


Required Skills and Experience (Minimum requirements in terms of educational background, work experience,

licenses/certifications or other knowledge, skills, and abilities).

Associate's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, related field or equivalent experience.

1-3 years of experience in a manufacturing environment.

Proficiency in CAD software (e.g., AutoCAD, SolidWorks).

Basic understanding of manufacturing processes and equipment.

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

Knowledge of lean manufacturing principles.

Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
